Terms & Conditions

By purchasing dahlias from us, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions. If you have any concerns about your plants, please contact us through email asap.

Ordering
Our Dahlia Tuber Sale is online only.

If you have an item in your cart, it is only reserved once you complete your order, successfully check out, and receive a confirmation order number and email. Once an order is placed, due to the time and labour involved, we may be unable to add additional items or combine shipping. If you would like to add additional items, you must submit an additional order, which will ship separately.

 

Shipping
Due to logistics, we cannot offer pick-up for locals. We will ship all orders starting in September. We can only ship within New Zealand. If you have concerns with this shipment time frame, please do not order, as we may be unable to accommodate special requests at this time (If you are going to be away for a period, please leave dates in the note section so plants are not left in packaging longer than necessary). 

Once your order ships, you'll receive a confirmation email. Please refrain from emailing about shipping before receiving your confirmation email, as we will be working as quickly as possible to get your order on the way.

 

Rural Delivery

Please select the rural delivery option if your address has an RD number or doesn’t receive standard post. If you are not sure, use the NZ Post address checker.

 

Damaged Tubers

We guarantee that your tubers will arrive intact. If plants break or are damaged during shipping, please take a picture of the damage and email us within 24 hours. At the sole discretion of Buttermere Farm, we may either replace or refund your order. Storage and growing of tubers is the purchaser's responsibility, and Buttermere Farm does not take any responsibility for tubers once they are delivered.

 

Variety Shortage

Because there is some unpredictability in working with Mother Nature, we occasionally cannot send a variety that was ordered. We are working hard to ensure we have extra stock to cover this, but if this happens, we will be in contact to arrange an alternative or provide a refund.

 

Our Promise & Policies

Upon receipt of your order, please inspect your items immediately. If you have any concerns, please email us at buttermerefarm@outlook.com within 24 hours of receiving your order. The email should include your order number and a photo. At the sole discretion of Buttermere Farm, we may either replace or refund your order. Please note that the Shipping Cost for your order is non-refundable. Please do not send messages on social media, as these are easily missed.

Although we do our best to provide you with the healthiest true varieties, mistakes can happen. If, for some reason, the plants you ordered are not what you expected, please email us. The email should include your order number and a photo. At the sole discretion of Buttermere Farm, we may replace or refund your order (please do not send messages on social media). Please note that the Shipping Cost for your order is non-refundable.

 

We do everything within our power to ensure healthy stock. That said, by purchasing plants from us, you accept the fact that dahlias sometimes get disease and that these are not 100% avoidable and/or detectable (as plants can be asymptomatic).
